Volunteer List

The following SPAASSM team members have offered their individual and spare time to allow SPAASSM to achieve its stated objectives. Without the effort of these ex-appies the job just wouldn't get done.? If you know these blokes then you should consider shouting them a beer or an orange juice for their troubles and dedication.

Other members who have offered help have been Chic Henry (19th), Ray Dawes (22nd) and Ian MacLean (21st)

Peter Thornton (35th ET/RM)

Project head honcho and royal pain in the neck, just ask the other team members :-). Wears a thick foam filled scarf nearly every day because he reckons Canberra is cold. You better watch him because he is on drugs!!
Bill Mertin (22nd VM)

All round good guy and chief wheeler and dealer. Bill was responsible in helping Pete recover all the material from Bandiana. Poor bugger had to listen to Pete talk all the way down and back. 8 hours of bliss and he is still smiling?
Ian Morris (12th RM)

Ian has a wealth of experience in all aspects of historical material. He was instrumental in combining all of the 12th Intake historical material to produce a full featured DVD. However, Ian is a wimp because he drinks Skim Decaf Lattes.
Chris Moon (32nd C&J)

Chris is the AAAA Inc Heritage Officer and has a number of irons in the fire. Chris has provided well needed support at critical times. However, Chris was recently commissioned and the lobotomy scars are horrific. Hasn't lost any CDF though.
Rod Eagleton (24th F&T)

Rod is the AAAA Inc Webmaster and has provided much behind the scenes support in IT development research for our future web presence. However, Rod just hates odd number Appies, particularly Pete, because Pete is always a pain in more than one extremity.
Chic Henry (19th Blacksmith)

Chic is Mr. Summernats and has answered the call of SPAASSM even when he was pinned down with other commitments. Chic loved dishing out pain to Sprogs at Balcs and Ray, Bill, Chris and Pete have all been fair game.
