The immediate future plans revolve around completing the memorial.

Rose gardens and grassing
Final call for and insertion of inscribed pavers
Plaques recognising major contributors to the construction of the Memorial.
Plaque acknowledging all contributors to the construction of the Memorial
Copies of relevant plaques from Balcombe Marine Gates.
A plaque explaining the design features of the memorial
Flag pole
Writing of an SOP for the Memorial
Approval and construction of the Memorial Wall behind the gates to accept the ashes of Apprentices and their spouses.
Invitation for plaques in memory of Apprentices to be placed on the wing walls
Irrigation system and lighting
Reflection seating

The ongoing commitments that are associated with the Memorial include:

Fund raising
Maintenance
Flag replacement
Insurance
Web site updating

A memorial management committee will be appointed to ensure the protection and maintenance of the memorial and the control of plaques and repository of ashes .

A Procedures Manual will be written containing details of how to apply for a plaque to be erected, and the form of these plaques. Similarly, the application procedure to reposit ashes and the form of service will be contained in this Manual. A minimal cost will apply to pay for plaques and contribute towards the upkeep of the memorial.
